I’ve been using AI pretty heavily the past month, and it gets things wrong — a lot. It slips in problems — regularly. Education and learning is as important as ever. Your knowledge is a superpower, and I worry most are forgetting. Your heart, mind, and hands are irreplaceable. It may not seem like it right now, but don’t give up.
As soon as AI companies figure out how to make the models more reliable, the price will go up. I expect it goes up to a level where individuals and many businesses will no longer benefit from most of the future capabilities. It will be used to consolidate more control and advantages for a select few.
When the day comes that only large business can afford the benefits of AI, everyone who depended upon it will be trapped and tossed aside. Everyone who is benefitting now, without putting in the learning effort, will stall. There will not be time to learn everything you will need to know to recover. You will either pay up, be subsumed, or simply disappear.
If you integrate AI into your business or agency, you will pay more and more over time. The day it becomes indispensable, replacing your experienced staff, you are no longer in control. Plan for it. AI will not take over. The companies that own the AI will.
Don’t be tricked. Take the time to LEARN now, because you will be immensely valuable in the future.
